Zella Namachi

Movement Dance Class (Sundays 2:00 pm)

With a passion for movement, art, and nature, Zella is a lifelong witch and has over twenty years experience in dance. Their dance journey began in 1987 in Southern California and into Chicago where in 2000 they were introduced to belly dance. Zella upholds a witchy practice influenced through life experiences woven into hereditary traditions. Of which, they explore into their studies that include energy work, breath work, meditation, and how they approach dance. They have hosted sacred pagan spaces, celebratory menstrual gatherings, and dance circles.

Having lived coast to coast, Zella came to Minnesota in 2006 where they changed their career from criminal justice to dance instructor. Zella is beautifully neurodivergent, and goes by they/them. They came out as gay in 1992, and are excited to be able to work in a safe space where for the first time they feel safe to be completely open in who they are as a queer human, a witch, and a dancer. They're a mother and shares life with their wife in central Minnesota.

Heart Forward Yoga (Tuesday 6:00 pm)
Lauren (she/her) is a certified yoga teacher and freelance copy editor. In 2020, she began practicing yoga regularly with Clara Roberts Oss. Yoga provided a way to stay grounded in the midst of the pandemic, but Lauren also found that yoga helped manage her anxiety and was a conversation partner for her grievings. In 2022, she completed her 200-hour teacher training through Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness. Lauren enjoys reading, writing, baking, gardening, quilting, watching British mysteries with her husband Patrick, dreaming of their next trip to Ireland, snuggling with her cat Scout, and laughing at their dogs Cully and Lewis.

Kalico DeVil

Lyrical Dance (Wednesdays 6:00 pm)
Burlesque (Wednesdays 7:15 pm)

Kalico DeVil has been a lifelong dancer, starting danceline in early elementary school. After several years of competitive danceline and jazz, she transitioned to a local dance studio in her hometown, where she received formal training in: ballet/pointe, jazz, musical theater, ballroom, lyrical and modern. Upon graduating high school, Kalico took a hiatus from dancing, as she navigated early adulthood and pursued her post-secondary education. In early 2019 the dance spark was re-ignited when she discovered the art of Burlesque. She returned to the dance floor in both a learning and teaching capacity, and hasn’t looked back since!
